My domain shopping splurge
I have been rushed off my feet recently with deadline, design, exams and unfortunately drama. What I have done is made head way with severely of my project when I have had the time. The first of which is a big one for me,
DoodleBite Creative Studios (DoodleBite CS) [News]
DoodleBite is my developing creative studio devoted to design and the quality and ethical work that it includes. In preparation for this I when and purchased some goodies to help the project along with the new domain of doodlebite.com (previously unavailable when I registered doodlebite.net). I have been working be hind the curtains to try and make this as amazingly to look at and also provide a steady bace on which to develop on the years to come. I also have made some decoctions and have decided that LCN will be my supported domain company. My interaction with LCN (or Telvo as it was once called) have been my domain provider for many years now and I am proud to recommend them as reliable, creative and trustworthy company. It may not be as largely known as some of them but don't be fooled, when I last registered a domain 20th May 2011 they were serving over 737,000 assuming I interpreted there URL system correctly. .... read more »
BlueWash & SunSand- Wateringbury Church's New Website
For some time now I have been working on a new look and system for St John the Baptist Church in Wateringbury, Kent. Today the new site final goes live after a long number of months work by many people. The over all finish is nice and I did find it extremely challenging to find a style that I felt worked for the church. I have personally visited this church before and have found it to be a fantastic place, even if you are not religious like myself, it is well worth a look if you are ever near there.
It was hard to find a feel of what the site should look like, my previous designs had all been far too modern and since this church has so much character I wanted to work that in to the design. I first had a go and drawing up ideas almost a year and a half ago. I came up with these ideas below.
Nether of these would work however as they only had minimal updating ability and more control was needed. So I started to work on a Wordpress powered site for them. This would allow for a much more controlled site and providing function as well as looks for the site. My first attempt I wanted to work with warm creams and add more of a glow to the over all feel to the site. .... read more »
CrystalClear Equestrian

This is the design that I worked on for CrystalClear Equestrian. I also when out and took some photos that accompanied the site on its launch. The design is the forth of my Wordpress powered sites and is one of my favorites. The design was intendant simple as per the design specification and the navigation is clean and obvious. It also has full media plugins to the social networks with easy updates and integrations for automatic posts.
The facebook page has its own styling, as dose there twitter and youtube. I also advised on the best form of marketing brand for communications leading to an adiational quick domain of ccEquestrian.co.uk which acts as there email service as well. .... read more »
Update to v2
Working on the http://mysst.co.uk site theme, come up with version 2, started the face lift to the SST site.

mySST.co.uk
The http://mySST.co.uk website is designed to be a tool for communication between the SST (seiner student team) and the students in Nobel's 6thform.

This is what they are about;
Hi, this is the Nobel School’s SST website!
So who are we?
Well we are a collection of students from upper 6th Form (Year 13+) who join the different teams. This year’s SST can be found here and the teams are,
Head Students: They are the leaders of SST and organize the rest of the team and also have other responsibilities around the school. Their roles change from day to day so it quite a job.
Events Team: They are responsible for the events around the Nobel and its 6th Form. They are the driving force behind Cabaret, a lot of Charity days and Community events. They have a ton to do every year but this is the biggest team.
Newspaper Team: This team is changing radically this year with the introduction of the new website. They are the press for the students and are now making there work even more accessible so now the lower half of the school (Year 7 – 11) through the intranet, Portal and the website. Our Designer and Photographer is also attached to this team but also does a lot with other teams. All the news team members are always hard at work.
Sports Team: They are always trying to get you involved. They are responsible for a lot of the lower year’s events like inter-house competitions and help out in plenty of other events.
PTA/Community Team: They are in charge of a lot of community days and work with events quite a lot. They work hard to try and get you in to the spirit and help with fundraising.
ICT Team: This is a new team this year and is in charge of the computer needs of SST and the website. ICT work with Newspaper closely and make sure that you can always get your ideas across.
What is our mission?
Simple, to make Nobel’s 6th Form the most enjoyable it can be and to help with the lower years (Year 7 - 11). We organises the Cabaret, Prom, Xmas party, charity events, fundraisers and much more!
What is this website for?
For you to enjoy :) It’s a platform for the news team, for you to communicate your views and ideas and more.
How do you become a member?
Well you need to be up to the challenge and ready to pitch in with other teams.
You first have to send a letter of application which is reviewed by the current SST.
Then a list of applications then moves on to an interview with several members of SST or with the head of 6th Form (required for head students).
You will receive a letter to tell you if you are accepted or not.

AwesomeFace.co.uk
AwesomeFace.co.uk is a site for my friend Luke, or SomeoneD as he likes to be known as. This is turning in to quite a project.

The theme is designed around the AwsomeFase logo and I added that on but also incorporate as much as I could of his love of orange.
davidhumphries.co.uk
DavidHumphries.co.uk I acquired after watching Dragons Den of all things, they were asking a applicant/firewood about his new web venture and they asked why he has such a bad web address/didn't have it yet, or something like that, and then they asked if he had is name, and then I thought I or't to find out about mine. This would mark the acquisition of my 3rd web address as well as the use of my full name online. The .com was taken and still is by a designer in the UK (what are the chances) but the .co.uk was more in my price range anyway and so I got it.
It ran off Drupal 5 and had my first attempt at themes by modifing a basic one. It didn't come out too well and my CSS skills were piratically nothing but I was proud of it and called it dh-GrayScale (not the most inspiring name I admit).
After getting tired of all my headers being in white and unreadable I started work on my new theme called dhGrayDot. This then evolved quite nicely, I had created a number of themes from the start now and it came out rather well.

This I am pleased with it and had the first shot of my hair as it grew back which made it more me. When I had finished all the updateds I even published a blog entry on it ...2009/july/2-more-20-hour-days.
PuppetBoy.co.uk
My brothers an amassing person and I want the whole world to know that, so I built him a website, http://puppetboy.co.uk to call his own. The web address is inspired by what people at his secondary school most commonly know him as even though he is also a skilled actor, singer and creative mind.

The theme was based on the design I adapted for his first blog on WordPress. Since abandoned as I transferred all content in to a stand allow installation the old one remains as history.
I also had to purchase http://pupetboy.co.uk as on a promotional DVD I misspelled it, thankfully someone spotted it and pointed it out to me. My spellings strike again!
6thForm.org.uk
6thForm.org.uk is in Development Really... Designed to be a community and information resauses, its speshaly function was the requirement of a valid school email address that identified your year group.
