Yet another new look
Well wouldn't you know I got distracted form work to give my profile a touch of the summer warm. This Drupal theme (called TypeCard) is the latest look for my front page, quick, simple and to the point. Hope it pleasant on the eyes!

Penguins and Covers
Well it looks like the good people over at penguin books liked my design, in fact they when as far as to shortlist me (take a look). I am flattered, really, this is what they sent me (the really good bit, the feedback).
We think this is a great cover and very thoroughly realised. It may be that it cannot be improved, but for the sake of trying something we wondered if David could consider whether introducing a degree of the anarchy from the story into the design might (or might not) make the cover work even harder? Also, perhaps the titling is a little cramped and Ken Kesey’s name could be slightly less secondary. A solution might be to reduce the number of extra lines in the title area – if it looks right? And, perhaps the quote could be slightly more prominent, and ‘Guardian’ less prominent.

Commerce hits the streets
Security, its the key to so much we do in todays world, we guard out money, our informational and so its natural that we should be careful. With the increase in the need for records and the decrease in cash the world of online and even mobile commerce. We have seen square and it's competitors in the US but now PayPal is jumping into the ring with there service, PayPal Here.
Now square was criticised by not encrypting your cards information in the reader but at the end of the day you are still using someones mobile and with both ios and android its a big pool to play with.
So why not stay online... well its not a bad idea, you generally have more security but you still have to have it shipped. As a company you know you need to send packets so my top tips are the following.
- Call up Royal Mail (01752 387112) and talk to them, there still the biggest in the UK
- If you go with them, get yourself a franking machine
- Compare the prices now, look at the normal
Remember that if you are planning on keeping credit card details on on your server/website (and I do not advice that you should for most) you need to be PCI.
My domain shopping splurge
I have been rushed off my feet recently with deadline, design, exams and unfortunately drama. What I have done is made head way with severely of my project when I have had the time. The first of which is a big one for me,
DoodleBite Creative Studios (DoodleBite CS) [News]
DoodleBite is my developing creative studio devoted to design and the quality and ethical work that it includes. In preparation for this I when and purchased some goodies to help the project along with the new domain of doodlebite.com (previously unavailable when I registered doodlebite.net). I have been working be hind the curtains to try and make this as amazingly to look at and also provide a steady bace on which to develop on the years to come. I also have made some decoctions and have decided that LCN will be my supported domain company. My interaction with LCN (or Telvo as it was once called) have been my domain provider for many years now and I am proud to recommend them as reliable, creative and trustworthy company. It may not be as largely known as some of them but don't be fooled, when I last registered a domain 20th May 2011 they were serving over 737,000 assuming I interpreted there URL system correctly. .... read more »
A Study of Words
The written word has been around for many a year, and will go on for many more I have now doubt but the power of these tiny little things, no matter how small or insufficient or even the ones we miss out I'm sure we have all found them to be so in our lives. Words can create art, stir feelings, elaborate ideas, postulate belive and dictate actions and yet so many of us can forget them. My self being dyslexic and wholly relent on the aid of a spell checker (and Google when this fails to make make since of my ramblings) to insure that my authoring are ineligible have not always seen eye to eye with them so this is dedicated to the humble word/s (depending on your situation) so it would seem apropret to play with them before I continue.

Not to go off on too much of a tangent however I also found the following very good to watch, even if they don't all make scene, there at the end of the post as to prevent the accumulation of mess (of just click here). .... read more »
Three Generations Later
My goodness how has the time span past since I first started my on line life. The Internet is one of those things my this generation have simply grown up with yet only about 20% of this planet have been hooked up. Today we see it as a nessiesty and this is reinforced by the fact that people carry a low speed link to smart phones. I have to admit with my laptop giving me the run around I have been coming to the conclusion very slowly that it may not make it to uni as my main one. Today I got back from the UCAS Art and Design exhibition at ExCel London, finding the over ground quite entertaining and stations designed with smooth glass and steal to form a web of walkways, having looked at many Uni stalls. Apple had a plot too which fuled my aggravation with the assumption that a Mac is best for design?? Come on, its the Adobe software that makes it what it is, the rest is just the look, that didn't stop me form entering a few "win an iPad" compactions, I love touch screen.
Anyway, as I type this you will net be able to see it once published as I am still working on the design but needless to say that I am very proud so far of how it looks. I have some foreboding about the header image however since my hair is so much longer then the last design incorporated I really needed to redesign the site again (for the 3rd time, get the title>?) plus I felt it looked shabby... now if only I could get round to my bedroom.
Excuse the Trash
Well at the moment I'm up to my eye balls in nothingness and yet got so much to ge sorted out and to do as well in my Summer Holidays, 2 weeks in and I still haven't started on my site shake ups. This will include a better blog interface for me to get my updating this more, as well as a new look to this website. Yes I'm aware for those who know me or have seen me out and about that I really need to update my photo at the least since my hair has well and truly returned form its days of past.
Also on my lists of things to do are take more photos, get a job, use my blog, learn music more then humming, get cracking on driving, start work on my Dads house and garden, touch type, bring myself to wach Torchwood Season 2 (still can't bring myself to), work on a "friendship" but technically its not allowed to be called that so...err, past friend.. no, to much "past", OK maybe just try and live my life.
In terms of new stuff to look out for in my shake up are the development and launch of DoodleBite Creative Studios, my Arty Portfolio and Design work coming on line, hope to do more with the VL Studios as well as working on my ever growing project of mySST. However I have been keeping my self bussy, fear not.. not that you would but.. don't know where I was going with that but anyway I have finished ccEquestrian as well as 2 new vids on mySST
I leave this post with one last thing to come, some poetry, pholosapy and a story or 2 because this life, your lives and anyone in this world who can stop to smell the roses will find its only just starting... that includes anyone who reckons there time is up and youf Jack... na just joking, old but I still like it to see the look of sudden fear from being mentioned by name. Special thanks to Jacob, Luke, George and Jonti for all coming to the Toon night, I think it when really well and I enjoyed it, hope you did to but I think I need to make sure all the vids are playable as well as post some "Are you thinking, what I'm thinking?" in homage to the amazing Pinky and The Brain
Anyone been watching Sherlock?
Goodbye Heartbeat FM
With this weekend’s sunny weather as well as scorching Monday and Tuesday before it’ll become very cold again many of us would have had got used to the warm and comfortable whether and some no doubt will be glad to see the back of it. However everything seems to be changing at moment. For those of you familiar with 106-109 FM that there is no doubt that the change to heartbeat was something that unsettled a lot of radio limners when it switched a while back. I’m quite attached to this radio station that I ended up doing my work experience there, it was exceedingly enjoyable and lots of fun however it saddened me when I finally found out that they officially had changed to the Jack format. I’m someone who’ll listen to the radio for the personal touch from a presenter; although a lot of heartbeat was originally pre-recorded I still liked it as at least even these pre-recordings were real DJs whereas Jack FM seams to be simply just music with cheesy one-liners. I was also quite disappointed to hear that they got rid of a lot of their DJ staff and I can’t say much for the new logo ever. I first spotted that there might be something happening when the in the car I noticed it was transmitting the name Jack, I assumed that there was some sort of pirate interference and that Jack was a shortened version for hi-jack-ing the frequency. I know there are a lot of people out there who like the new format however line of the opinion that if you want to listen to music nonstop then you should simply get your MP3 or iPod stick it on shuffle.
When life screws you over :( (:
As some people know I haven't had a good year, far from it and it's not likely to get much better any time soon :( However at least i'm not as silly as this person (admitidely I made it up but I looks nice). I can't weight to set up the frount page it will get! Or should I get thegutwithcrazyhair.co.uk insted? ARRR :D
